Music and Play COS offers creative, play-based music education designed to complement your existing curriculum or programming.
At Music and Play COS, we use the award-winning Music Rhapsody curriculum, developed by early childhood music expert Lynn Kleiner. Rooted in the Orff Schulwerk philosophy, these classes are designed to feel like play—while building a strong foundation in music and learning.
Each session is filled with joyful, hands-on experiences: singing, dancing, instrument play, puppets, props, and stories that spark imagination. Children learn rhythm, listening, coordination, and expression—all while having a blast.

Homeschool Groups
Our Music and Movement classes are a perfect fit for homeschool families looking to add arts-based enrichment to their week. Designed for ages 0–11, each session invites kids into a world of rhythm, melody, and movement—encouraging social connection, body awareness, and a natural love for music. Whether you're part of a co-op or coordinating an enrichment day, we bring all materials and tailor the experience to your group’s age range and flow.
Elementary Schools
For early elementary enrichment, our Music and Movement classes offer a lively and engaging break from the standard classroom rhythm. We partner with schools to provide short-term or ongoing programs that align with early learning goals—fostering listening skills, coordination, pattern recognition, and expressive movement. All classes are play-based, inclusive, and led by a credentialed early childhood music educator.
Preschools & Daycares
We specialize in music and movement for ages 0–6—making us a natural fit for early learning centers, daycares, and preschools. Classes are filled with singing, dancing, instrument play, and imaginative storytelling that support language development, motor skills, and emotional expression. Whether you’re looking to add weekly enrichment or host a one-time music event, we bring age-appropriate joy and structure that kids (and teachers) look forward to.
Community Programs & Enrichment Centers
From YMCA programs to city recreation centers, we collaborate with community-based organizations to provide fun, educational music sessions for kids of all ages. Whether it’s a drop-in class, a 6-week series, or a summer camp add-on, we make it easy to incorporate high-quality music experiences into your programming. We handle all the setup and curriculum so your team doesn’t have to.
Program Options
- Music for Every Child: Every student will receive a 30 - 50 minute lesson 1 or more times per week for the school year.
- Choice Program: Students who sign up will receive 1 or more, 30 - 50 minute lesson each week for the school year.
- Enrichment Program: School or Groups who sign up 5+ students will receive a 30 - 60 minute enrichment class. These classes can be set up to have a theme, such as: world music, seasons, holidays, animals and more! Classes can be a one time event or set up to occur in 4 - 8 week cycles throughout the school year. Custom quotes are available.

It’s already that time of year — we’re getting ready for fall Music and Movement classes for ages 0–6. These playful, engaging classes are designed for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and early elementary students to explore music through rhythm, movement, and hands-on instruments. From discovering the bright tones of a glockenspiel to learning to keep a steady beat, each class is rooted in early childhood development—and gives you something meaningful to enjoy together.
